You run the playtest.

Shard’s current tools operate on the edit-time place.

Preview documentation for the upcoming Shard plugin. This describes the current build; setup and availability may change before release.

Edit mode and runtime are different.

RunCode can inspect and change Studio objects, but an edit-time run has no live player session. It cannot establish that a gameplay feature works.

Check the result in Studio.

Run the game yourself, exercise the changed feature, then stop the test. Tell Shard the steps you tried and what happened. Relevant Output messages can help investigate.

Shard pauses for playtesting.

The current plugin lifecycle pauses when a playtest starts and resumes after it ends. It does not press Play for you or observe a running game as visual input.
